Posted: 25 Nov 2010 Topic: CAVENHAM HEATH YESTERDAY MORNING

Hello. I popped over to Cavenham Heath this morning out of
curiosity and i saw one of your signs
is that the area the best place to see one. I know this
time of year is a waste now. But ive looked at other areas
in West Norfolk and this area looks superb as its huge!

Thankyou. Its meant to warm up later on this week albeit
with a drop of rain. Maybe a few will stir?
Do you see many Common Lizards on the heath? Bet its also
great for Stone Curlew in summer?

Posted: 12 Feb 2011 Topic: first herp sightings of 2011??

I was thinking of a Herp trip this weekend but i thought it wouldn't be
warm enough. Forecast is colder weather albeit sunny days mostly.
Do VBs tend not go back to hibernate if it cools down say 5c?

Posted: 21 Mar 2011 Topic: Roydon Common

Hello. Ive made a few visits to Roydon Common and was
tipped off for a good area for Hibernacula and today i was
over the moon. I counted 14. The place is alive. Also two
Natrix Natrix which were alot faster vanishing for a
photo...I fancy trying a different location now. Any ideas
for Norfolk/Suffolk?
