More recent (and more accurate) case studies have revealed symptoms effecting the central nervous system; including sleepiness, disorientation, vertigo etc. Also ocular dysfunction has been observed, in the form of ptosis and blurred vision. I believe the Medical University in Krakow, Poland, is working on isolating the various components of V. berus venom. That might be a good starting point. James.

It's best to have the animal directly on the scanner plate. When I do it, I don't attempt to restrain them or keep them still in any way. I just wait until they settle then start the scan. James.

Does anyone know if there is good reptile population in that immediate area? I'd like to get some photos while I'm there, but I don't really know the area, and time will be at a bit of a premium for lengthy searching.
