Posted: 25 Jul 2009 Got up particularly early on thursday, was in Llandegla for 6.45 am!.Thought I was going to be unlucky when the heavens opened at 7 ,however a little patience and blue skies appeared.Saw 8 adders in all and was particularly pleased to get a good id shot of the adder who was having fun climbing through the heather,3rd time lucky on this one.All the snakes were milky or freshly sloughed.Sorry about the picture quality,I ve included a particularly poor photo just to show the orange collouration of one snake that just I just managed to catch sight of curled tightly under some heather.I got really close in but couldnt see the snakes head and didnt want to disturb it just for a pic.I will try and get a better shot next time ,hopefully post slough.
