Found this shield bug on one of our budliahs this morning. I've seen green and brown sheild bugs but not red and black

Photos not bril' as the wind was blowing the leaves everywhere

Hello Alan

Looks like the red-spotted form of the Crucifer Shieldbug Eurydema oleracea.   I've only seen it once in the wild (in a damp meadow). It also occurs in a green form with cream spots.

Peter

Hi Keith,
No Reptile pics yet this season, life's just been too hectic i'm afraid. We're living in a building site of a house that i'm trying to do up , along with the building of my wildlife pond and the making of a snake room. Wish I had more time for the camera

Yes mate, You really should come over my way, i'd love to meet up for a touch of herping and a coffee. If you decide to just send me a PM and i'll give you my address and how to find me.
