Posted: 20 May 2007 Hi All I saw my first baby adder ever today at Bramshill Plantation in Hampshire. It was about six inches long and barely thicker than a pencil. Brilliant! Cheers Clare

Posted: 20 May 2007 Hi James No pics of the baby unfortunately, it went off into the undergrowth as soon as it saw us although I do have pics of adult adders taken over the years. Clare

Would you have any sighting records for that area of Hampshire? If you happen to have counts of animals during the spring months that would be brillant

Posted: 21 May 2007 Hi Jon The only count I have so far from Bramshill this year apart from the baby yesterday is the following: 4 males and 1 female adder at Bramshill on 6th April. We arrived too late yesterday for the normal sun traps we check to be occupied. They only seem to make use of these spots before about 10am. Saw 1 slow worm at Bramshill yesterday also. Cheers Clare
