Being interested in finding out if any reptiles live on our patch, I have set about acquiring some refugia. I have realised that they are going to make great toys for our Badgers, it then occurred to me that I may be setting up a badger snack bar. Do badgers eat any reptiles?

ps I intend to ring fence an area to keep it Badger free (quick to say hard to do) :-)

I survey sites that display a great deal of badger activity. Rarely do I find any interference with cover objects etc (it does happen but not very often). Foxes do learn to lift refugia (especially felt) and deer have a nasty habit of chewing marker canes...

I think it would be difficult to build a fence robust enough to keep badgers out that wouldn't also cause disturbance to reptiles. calumma38275.6701388889

badger fence eh, will need good bit of digging to get it buried enough to stop them digging under it good luck :)

whats the area like? a fenced off section may attract unwanted attention.
