Posted: 15 Oct 2004 Being interested in finding out if any reptiles live on our patch, I have set about acquiring some refugia. I have realised that they are going to make great toys for our Badgers, it then occurred to me that I may be setting up a badger snack bar. Do badgers eat any reptiles? ps I intend to ring fence an area to keep it Badger free (quick to say hard to do) :-) AndyB |

Posted: 15 Oct 2004 I survey sites that display a great deal of badger activity. Rarely do I find any interference with cover objects etc (it does happen but not very often). Foxes do learn to lift refugia (especially felt) and deer have a nasty habit of chewing marker canes... I think it would be difficult to build a fence robust enough to keep badgers out that wouldn't also cause disturbance to reptiles.
