Posted: 01 Jun 2008 Hi , I could be wrong on this one but I reckon it,s a Podarcis taurica I,m fairly sure that Podarcis sicula does not occur in Croatia? |

Posted: 03 Jun 2008 Podarcis siculus ragusae is the subspecies found in the Dubrovnik area but I weould like to see a little more of the animal especially just behind the front leg to see if there is a dark spot to see if they compare with the specimens I have seen there. Podarcis siculus campestrisis certainly moving down the coast with the Adriatic Highway and also in movement of boxes and plant in large pots but did not think it had got that far south of Makarska but with movement by human trade you never know.
