Saw a couple of grass snakes in North Wales the other week on moorland at about 330m. Is this unusually high?

Luiselli and Capula studied a population of grass snakes in Italian Alps 1100m above sea level!

I dont have my gps on me at the moment so I dont know the highest grassies we have recorded in south wales, will find out!
