Posted: 01 Jan 2007 Main thing is not to let them escape into your local pond. They are now banned in SA 'I get my kicks on Route 62' |

And perhaps you should visit some of the pet keeping forums for advice on feeding etc
has anyone got any web addresses for these?

Posted: 04 Jan 2007 I do! www.kingsnake.com has one of the more active herp pet forums at: http://forums.kingsnake.com/ They have many sub-forums for different species including a red-ear slider/terrapin forum: http://forums.kingsnake.com/forum.php?catid=32 We seem to get quite a few pet-related posts here from time to time, so while I am at it, another good site, this time for amphibian enthusiasts, is www.Caudata.org and their forums: http://www.caudata.org/forum/cgi-bin/discus.cgi It concentrates on newts and salamanders (obviously) but has an anuran section and loads of useful info on tank set-ups and feeding that apply to all amphibians. I know this isn't a pet forum, but it's nice to be able to send people where they can get good information on captive care. |
