Posted: 12 Aug 2006 Best day for seeing Sand Lizards on Merseyside for a while today. Dave Hardaker and myself saw at least seven in a few hours, including four males. Weather was sunny, but a keen North-West wind kept the temperature from being too hot. Don't think there have been any more fires, but still desperately need rain. Posted: 24 Aug 2006 Found the first hatchling wild Merseyside Sand Lizard of this year today. Hope this is a sign of things to come, although the drought, which only ended last week, may have caused some of the eggs to dessicate.
