Yesterday was a spooky day in Surrey, I saw absolutely zilch at Tonys site in Chobham and only two female LA at Frensham.

hi Al do you mean the big pond side of road of a127? There are lots of adders on the overside near the memorial stone area keith

Also had a spooky day today out at Brookwood, nothing moving at all. However , myself and paul did catch one grassy , pics should come soon

hi Al thats an interesting spooky spot anything been recorded from there like la sitings I would Imagine it would be a spot for  death adders .keith

Hi All

If you go to the No Grass Snakes thread under Grass Snake you can see a few comments there re an apparent lack of grass snakes and also adders - I'm finding the latter very hard to spot at some usually reliable sites in S England

I was out saturday, instead of looking for reptiles, I was looking for Orchids.   Despite  it being 3 o clock in the afternoon, the temp was well in excess of 20 deg C I saw 2 Zl and heard numerous 'rustlings' in the grass.   Will have to meet up soon for a midweek herping trip.
