Posted: 30 Jan 2006 Could someone clarify the Latin name for viv lizard? Have taxonomists renamed it Zootoca or is it still undecided? Both names seem to be in use although most commonly Lacerta (Zootoca) vivipara. Any info on this gladly received. Cheers

Posted: 31 Jan 2006 Generally?, yes. If i hear about the silly sounding version then i'm quite aware of what it really is, but for me the change just doesn't seem crucial, & if it ain't broke, then don't fix it! |
