Posted: 05 Apr 2010 too cold for camping now i'm getting older so our friends suggested last minute that we get a caravan in rhyl for the weekend. i have to say that the thought of a cold weekend in rhyl didn't fill me with optimism but the weather was better than expected and the field and emankment right next to the site turned out to be a bit of a common lizard hot spot! had a great time in the end. i shall never hear a bad word said about rhyl ever again! tim |

Posted: 10 Apr 2010 Hi Tim, Excellent photos. I'm pleased you enjoyed your Easter break here in N Wales. The only previous common lizard record for Rhyl seems to be in 1917! Could you send me the details or better still put them directly onto the N Wales local biological records centre website at www.cofnod.org.uk Thanks, Mick |
