Went to studland today and dispite arriving rather late, 1.30 pm, saw my first smooth snake and sand lizard. I managed to get a good view of 2 smooth snakes and a juvinile sand lizard. Unfortunately I didn't see any adders but I'm off to the mendips on Thursday, hopefully I'll do better there.
